Vehicle Dynamics Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer for our Motorsport client in Milan. As part of this role, you will play a critical role in advising the test team and driving vehicle performance by collecting and analyzing data from track tests, outdoor measurements, and vehicle simulations. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with various teams to improve vehicle setup and track performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the test team on planning and advising on vehicle dynamics analysis during track tests.
• Measure key outdoor vehicle parameters such as vehicle angle, speed, 6-axis force, and more for tyre modeling and aerodynamics.
• Collaborate with the aero team for measurement and analysis.
• Conduct surface scanning of tracks and process data to enhance the accuracy of the vehicle setup.
• Develop and enhance the vehicle observer system to improve estimations of ground forces, slip angle, roll angle, etc.
• Provide trackside data analysis services during tests and races, supporting the team with remote data analysis.

Key skills:

• Strong background in vehicle dynamics, performance engineering, and test planning.
• Hands-on experience with measurement tools (smart wheels, IMUs, etc.) and surface scanning.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving vehicle setup and performance.
