An exciting opportunity to join the growing Hedley Studios team. Experienced quality and engineering focused individual wanted to drive and own the inspection of incoming goods and components into the warehouse, procured for production of exquisite driveable art.

The role:
A fantastic opportunity to join and develop a growing department. We need a proactive and driven experienced quality inspector to develop and expand our operations as we broaden and progress the engineering inspection processes in line with exciting growth of the company. An integral role within the business you will be responsible for the inspections of inbound production and prototype parts and components, conducting physical checks against engineering drawings and data ensuring our exacting quality standards are met. Alongside this supporting the general warehouse day to day activities. We’re a fast moving company, and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
Day-to-day responsibilities for Quality Inspector
• Daily physical checks and inspections of incoming parts and components
• Review deliveries against Certificates of Conformity
• Identify and audit e markings and legislative markings
• Documenting and reporting of issues and non-conformances
• General assistance in the warehouse
• Booking in of Parts using ERP system
• Collaborating with engineering team to ensure suppliers and manufacturing partners meet required quality standards
• Close liaison with procurement team on issues and reporting
• Deal with suppliers to report and monitor quality levels and manage concerns
• Support to the production team to meet deadlines and schedules
• Maintaining a clean and safe working Environment

• Able to understand and interpret detailed component and assembly drawings.

Nice to have:
• Forklift Experience (Counterbalance)
• Experience of dealing with external suppliers and key stakeholders
• Exposure within a Production/Assembly environment
• Practice of using ERP Systems – ideally SAP B1
• Experience of implementation of new processes and protocols
• Understanding of Conformity of Production procedures and process
Generally:
• Comfortable working in a structured environment, but where you have plenty of autonomy we expect everyone to be high-performing and self-managing. It’s an entrepreneurial environment which keeps things interesting but isn’t for everyone!
• Switched on and can take the initiative, you don't need to be told what to do all the time. We want people who look for problems and solve them without being asked.
• Self-motivating – you’ll have full support along the way, but we won’t hold your hand throughout.
• Ability to use Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook. Experience in Slack is useful, but not critical
